1. GENERAL INFORMATION

CAN I RENT FROM OUTSIDE JAKARTA?

Yes, you can. However, please note that the shipping period and shipping charge might differ from our regular shipping course. If you leave outside Jakarta, kindly contact our team to provide you the exact information of shipping fee ad details on hello@rentacouture.com.

WHAT IF I ACCIDENTALLY DAMAGE THE DRESS?

Our rental price has covered an insurance fee of IDR 20,000,- which covers minor damage such as small stain, broken zipper and missing button. Nevertheless, significant damage and loss of item are excluded, and for any damage beyond repair, the fee is the retail price of the item. If the item is never returned, the fee will be twice of the retail price. Please note that any legal activities related to this course will be on you. 


2. FITTING & SIZING

DOES THE PRODUCT HAVE SIZE?

Currently, most of our products vary from size XS to M, and the actual size for each collection might differ from one another. But worry not for we have provided the detailed measurement for every piece on the product details.

CAN THE DRESS BE ALTERED?

Information regarding the alterability of each dress is provided on the Product Details. As for the alterable dress, there would be additional fee charged on you for the alteration. Note that it must be done by Rent a Couture, and you are strictly prohibited to do it on your own. If you wish to have our dress altered, you should book an appointment with us by the latest two weeks before your desired date of arrival. If you wish to use the altered dress sooner than two weeks’ time, kindly contact us at hallo@rentacouture.com to get our confirmation on this matter.

CAN I RE-ALTER, IF THE ALTERED DRESS DOESN’T FIT ME?

You can, but there would be additional fee for each alteration and it will be charged on you.

WHAT IF THE DRESS I ORDERED CANNOT BE ALTERED AND IT DOESN’T FIT ME?

We have 2 options for you:

Opt 1: We’ll help you find a replacement dress

When this scene happened, please let us know and we will ship you another available dress from the same price range for IDR 50,000,-  (shipping fee) within 24 hours after the exchange confirmation from us. You can choose any available dresses but please be aware that there would be additional charges if you opt for dress with higher rental price than the original ones. If you happen to leave near our studio, you are welcomed to visit and browse any available dresses on your own during business hour-without shipping fee.   

Opt 2: We’ll exchange your money with our credit

 We’d be glad to exchange your money with our credit which you can use in our website, along with other promotion code. This credit will be amounted accordingly with the paid rental price of cancelled dress, minus cost of shipping. Our credit doesn’t expire through times and can be used for any purchase on our site.

PS : Please note that any exchange must be informed to us within the same day as date of arrival, otherwise we cannot proceed any exchange.


3.  MY ORDER

HOW LONG IS A RENTAL?

Rent a Couture offers 3 rental periods: 4-days rental, 9-days rental, and 15-days rental. We suggest you to set the date of arrival 2 days before the event, to ensure you have plenty of time to prepare the perfect look. Think of it this way:

Day 1     : Our package arrives at your place. If the dress didn’t fit you, call us to get a replacement dress.

Day 2     :  The replacement dress arrives at your place.

Day 3     : Wear it (and flaunt it) at your event

Day 4     : Drop the rental dress at our studio. Or we will pick up the rental dress at your place before 12 pm, if you are using our delivery service.

WHEN SHOULD I MAKE ORDER/RESERVATION FOR A DRESS?

You can order/reserve your dress 3 months in advance, and schedule your dress to be ready on 2 days before your event.

WHAT DO I PAY IN RENTAL PRICE?

The rental price you paid consists of rental fee and insurance fee (for minor damage such as small stain, broken zipper, and missing button). However, the deposit fee and our delivery service fee (IDR 50,000,-) are excluded from the rental price listed on our catalog. Hence, the total price on your invoice is the sum amount of rental price, deposit fee (50% rental price) and delivery service fee (if you wish to have your dress delivered and picked up from your place).

WHY AM I BEING CHARGED HIGHER THAN THE LISTED PRICE?

The price listed on our catalog is valid for the 4 days rent only. If you wish to rent our collections for longer period, the rental fee would be higher than the ones stated on our catalog.

Also, it excludes any shipping fee associated with the dress.

WHY IS MY ORDER CANCELLED?

Maximum payment for an order is 1 x 24 hours after the order placed. If you haven’t made payment within this timeframe, your order will be automatically cancelled.

CAN I CHANGE THE RENTAL DATE AND/OR SHIPPING ADDRESS AFTER I PLACED THE ORDER?

You can make this adjustment by contacting our team at hello@rentacouture.com. Please be aware that if your product has been shipped, you are not allowed to change the rental date.

HOW DO I PAY?

All payment must be done via Bank Transfer. Please remember to confirm your payment (here) within 48 hours, so that your order can be processed.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENT?

Sorry, but currently we don’t accept any credit card payment.

WHAT IF I FORGET TO CONFIRM MY PAYMENT WITHIN 48 HOURS?

No worries, all you need to do is contact hello@rentacouture.com with your order number and we’ll help you out.

I HAVE PAID AND CONFIRM MY PAYMENT, BUT WHY DOES MY ORDER STATUS IS “Awaiting Confirmation”?

Kindly allow 12-24 hours to process your payment. If the status hadn’t change within 24 hours, send us an email with your order number and we will get back to you shortly.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

You may cancel your order only before the shipment takes place.

Cancelation within 6-10 days prior to the delivery/pick up date:

If You cancel Your order within 6-10 days in advance of the delivery date or pick up date, You will be entitled of a voucher with the same amount as Your cancelled rental fee; and

Cancelation within 5 days (or under) prior to the delivery/pick up date:

If You cancel Your order within 5-10 days in advance of the delivery date or pick up date, You’ll be entitled of a voucher amounted 50% of Your cancelled rental fee.


4. SHIPPING

HOW MUCH IS THE SHIPPING COST?

For those living in Jakarta, we offer Delivery Service Program. By paying additional IDR 50,000,- your package will be delivered and picked up from your door. We will deliver the item on the date of arrival chosen before 8 PM, and we will pick up the item on the date of return before 12pm.

For those living outside Jakarta, we use JNE as our package courier and it normally takes 1-4 days to arrive at your door. The shipping fee varies based on package weight and destination, which will be automatically calculated in our check out page.   

CAN I PICK UP THE PRODUCT BY MYSELF?

You can come to our studio and pick up your package by yourself. You can simply choose “Picking up my package at RAC studio” in our check out page.

HOW FAST CAN I GET MY PACKAGE?

If you live in Jabodetabek area: Once we confirmed your payment, the product will be processed within 24 hours and then delivered to you on the next working day.

If you live outside Jabodetabek area: Once we confirmed your payment, the product will be processed within 24 hours and then shipped to you on the next working day. Kindly note that shipping to outside Jabodetabek area might took 1-4 days, depending on your location.  

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Note that you can only track your order if it is being shipped. Once your order has been dispatched, you can find your waybill number at your account, on the Order Status.


5. RETURNING OUR COLLECTION

IS IT OKAY IF I KEEP RENT A COUTURE’S ITEM PACKAGING?

All product packaging (hanger, dress bag, and dress case) belongs to Rent a Couture, and it is not yours to keep. If you happen to lose them, you will be charged by IDR 85,000,- upon date of return.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY RETURN?

We normally process your return in 1 day, so you will receive product-return confirmation email on the next working day upon returning. If you’ve returned the product because it didn’t fit, please allow 5-7 working days to process your credit.
